The ability of chameleons to change their skin color often baffles us. So, how do they do it? A group of scientists from the University of Geneva Switzerland managed to answer. It turns out that chameleons change their skin color by adjusting the layer of special cells found in their skin.
Unlike octopuses and squids which can also change their skin color. Chameleons do not change color by collecting color pigments in skin cells. Instead, they rely on structural changes influenced by light reflecting off their skin.
A baby chameleon's diet and an adult chameleon's diet are different. The baby chameleon prefers food that is smaller than its mouth. In addition to insect food, the baby chameleon's diet can also be changed with fruits and vegetables. But these fruits and vegetables cannot be used as their staple food.
The adult flower will look for its food in the wild. Chameleons spend most of their time living in the trees and waiting for prey to come to them.
Now that we know chameleons, let's color them! Owlcolor has specially created a panther chameleon coloring page. You can use any color you like. Have fun!
